Raising a young team can be a difficult task, especially early on in the season. Pirates boys' hockey head coach, Jon Bittner knows that better than anybody as his young Pirates team fell to Fargo North, 3-1 on Thursday at the Crookston Civic Arena.
"We are making progress and we are starting to figure things out," Bittner said. "After the game, we kept positive and told the kids to keep working and we will see them tomorrow at practice."
Crookston was outshot in every period and Fargo North picked up their first goal at the 8:22 mark of the first period when Kyle Berg beat Pirates goalie Matt Grove for the goal. Assists on the goal went to Nick Boe and Nick Brenneman.
